Bio
Recruited from Belgrave in the Yarra Valley, Jeff Pitts was a lightly-built wingman and rover who earned a brief opportunity at Victoria Park during the 1969 season. Standing at 175cm, he broke into the senior side under coach Bob Rose for a debut against Melbourne in Round 3, joining a midfield rotation that included the likes of Wayne Richardson. Pitts showed glimpses of utility, rotating through the centre and forward line where he managed to boot a goal against St Kilda, but he struggled to hold his place in a competitive Collingwood outfit. His VFL career was ultimately restricted to a four-game stint in that single winter before he drifted out of the league's top flight.
