Bio
Recruited from the Geelong Falcons with pick 39 in the 2010 National Draft, Jeremy Taylor was a versatile defender whose promising start at the Gold Coast was derailed by a cruel run of injuries. Standing 191cm with an elite aerobic capacity, Taylor was highly rated internally for his ability to play on both tall and small forwards, with coaching staff initially comparing his work ethic and running power to Geelong star Corey Enright. After overcoming groin surgery to debut in late 2011, he played the majority of his career games in 2012 before his body let him down. A succession of setbacks, including quad issues, multiple concussions, and a severe finger injury requiring a titanium pin, kept him out of the senior side for his final two years on the list. Despite consistent performances in the NEAFL, he could not force his way back into the senior lineup and was delisted following the 2014 season.
