Bio
Recruited from Trafalgar in the Gippsland region, Jeremiah "Jerry" Hogan was a highly regarded country footballer who made a brief but effective cameo for Richmond in the pre-war era. A versatile utility capable of playing as a half-forward, half-back, or ruck-rover, Hogan arrived at Punt Road late in the 1911 season after establishing himself as a standout performer in the bush. Despite his limited opportunities at VFL level, he proved to be a dangerous option around goal, maintaining an impressive average of a goal a game across his four senior appearances. His time in the big league was short-lived; after managing just one appearance in 1912, he returned to Trafalgar, where he cemented his local legacy by helping the club secure a premiership the following year.
