Stats
Bio
Recruited from the South Gippsland town of Lang Lang, Jim Beasley initially tried his luck with a dominant Essendon outfit during their 1901 premiership campaign. He managed to break into the senior lineup for two appearances mid-season but struggled to cement a regular spot in a star-studded roster that would eventually lift the pennant. Seeking greater opportunity the following year, Beasley moved down the highway to Geelong, where he found more continuity at Corio Oval. He played seven matches and booted his only two career goals in the hoops, notably featuring in a satisfying upset victory over his former Essendon teammates before his brief league tenure concluded at the end of the 1902 season.
