Stats
Bio
A tall follower recruited from Warragul, Jim Cusack arrived at Fitzroy in 1953 as a prospect capable of bolstering the Lions' big man stocks. Standing 188cm, he spent much of his time developing in the reserves, where he was frequently named among the best players for his work around the ground. Cusack broke through for two senior appearances during the 1953 season, but found regular opportunities scarce in a ruck division anchored by the formidable Alan Gale. His VFL career was ultimately limited to that solitary season, representing the classic narrative of a country recruit who briefly tasted league football before returning to the local level.
