Bio
An Oakleigh-born forward who arrived at Arden Street for the 1935 season, Jim Jeffers produced one of the more curious brief careers in VFL history. He burst onto the scene in Round 1 against Geelong, playing up forward and booting three goals to help North Melbourne secure a thrilling three-point victory on debut. However, he was unable to replicate that impact the following week against Fitzroy, going goalless as the side fell short. Jeffers was subsequently dropped and never appeared at VFL level again, leaving him with the unusual distinction of averaging 1.5 goals per game across a blink-and-you'll-miss-it two-game career.
