Bio
Recruited from Ringwood in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, Jim Morgan was a tall utility who made a brief appearance for Hawthorn during the 1947 season. Standing 188cm, he provided considerable height for the era, capable of pinch-hitting in the ruck or holding down a key defensive post. He earned his senior debut in Round 11 and retained his place for eight matches, booting a solitary goal during his time in the brown and gold. Morgan's VFL career was ultimately limited to that single winter at Glenferrie Oval, as he did not feature for the club in subsequent seasons.
