Bio
Recruited from Hawthorn in the Metropolitan Junior Football Association, Jim Stewart was a fringe player who managed a brief VFL career with St Kilda during a lean era for the club. Born in Guildford, he broke into the senior side late in the 1909 season, notably kicking his only career goal in just his second match against Collingwood at Victoria Park. After falling out of selection contention and missing the entire 1910 season, Stewart earned a recall for one final appearance early in 1911 against Melbourne. Unable to cement a regular spot in the starting 18, he left the league with just three senior games to his name.
