Bio
Recruited from the club's local feeder side, Carlton District, Jimmy Robertson was a handy forward who made the step up to VFL level in the mid-1920s. He showed early promise in front of the sticks, managing to hit the scoreboard regularly during his brief opportunities in the senior side. After debuting in 1924, Robertson spent the entire 1925 season out of the senior lineup—likely plying his trade back in the seconds—before earning a recall for a final string of matches in 1926. Despite a respectable goal-kicking return, he was unable to cement a permanent spot in the Blues' starting XVIII and finished his time at Princes Park as a fringe player who provided depth for the squad.
