Teams

Recruited from the local Carlton District side, Joe Andrew faced the formidable challenge of breaking into a Blues lineup that was in the midst of a golden era. Joining the senior list in 1914, he found himself competing for a spot in a team destined for the premiership under coach Norm Clark. Andrew managed to earn selection for just two senior appearances during the home-and-away season, serving as a depth player in a squad brimming with talent that would eventually secure the club's fourth flag. Although his VFL career was limited to those fleeting games without registering a goal, he remains a recorded part of the club's history during a dominant season, eventually passing away at the advanced age of 93.
