Bio
Recruited from the Gippsland town of Trafalgar, Joe Price was a country footballer who made a brief but notable appearance for Richmond during the 1911 VFL season. A capable utility who could push forward and hit the scoreboard, Price managed two goals across his seven senior games after debuting against St Kilda in Round 8. Despite showing promise at the top level, his stay at Punt Road was short-lived, and he returned to Trafalgar the following year to cement a strong legacy in the bush. Price went on to become a premiership player for his home club in 1913 and captained the side in 1914, eventually living to the age of 99 as one of the Tigers’ oldest surviving former players.
