Teams

Recruited from the Sandringham district long before the Zebras joined the VFA, Joe Rahilly was a opportunistic forward who made a brief cameo for St Kilda during the final year of the Great War. He broke into the senior side midway through the 1918 season and showed immediate promise in front of the big sticks, booting two goals in just four appearances. Despite this respectable return rate for a debutant, Rahilly's career at Junction Oval was short-lived, as he was unable to hold his spot in the side beyond that single wartime winter. While his time at the elite level was fleeting, he remains on the record as a local product who managed to hit the scoreboard at VFL level.
