Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick 36 in the 2002 National Draft, Joel Perry was a tall key defender who spent four seasons on North Melbourne's list. Standing 196cm, he was viewed as a long-term prospect for the fullback position, spending his initial years developing in the VFL before finally earning his senior debut in Round 9, 2005 against Hawthorn. While he possessed the necessary height and spoiling reach to match up on opposition key forwards, Perry struggled to displace established defenders in the Kangaroos' backline or find consistency at the elite level. He managed just eight games over two active seasons and was ultimately delisted at the conclusion of the 2006 season.
