Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Ormond Amateurs, John Curtin was a tall defender who made a fleeting appearance for St Kilda during the 1947 VFL season. Standing 185cm, he offered key position height and a sturdy frame for a struggling lineup that ultimately claimed the wooden spoon. Curtin's brief tenure at the top level consisted of back-to-back matches in Rounds 10 and 11 against Collingwood and Richmond, both of which resulted in heavy defeats for the Saints. Unable to retain his spot in a defence that was constantly under pressure, he finished his VFL career with just the two senior games to his name before departing the league.
