Bio
Recruited from Hobart in the Tasmanian Football League, John Emin was a towering ruckman and forward who arrived at Windy Hill with a reputation as a strong state representative. Standing at 193cm, he was thrust into the senior side late in the 1973 season, making his debut in Round 21 and holding his spot for the club's Elimination Final loss to St Kilda, where he booted his only VFL goal. Despite showing promise as a physical contested player, his stint in the league was fleeting; he returned to the Apple Isle the following year to forge a significant career as a captain-coach, notably guiding Wynyard to a premiership and finishing runner-up in the William Leitch Medal.
