Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Collingwood Juniors, John Green crossed the local divide to join Essendon for the 1906 season. He was granted a brief trial in the senior lineup, making three appearances for the Same Olds as they consolidated a spot in the finals, though he was unable to cement a permanent place in the side. Standing 177cm, his time at the elite level was short-lived, and he did not feature for the club following his debut year. His legacy extends beyond the field, however, as he went on to serve his community as a firefighter with the Metropolitan Fire Brigade and enlisted as a Corporal during the First World War.
