Bio
Recruited from Shepparton United via St Kilda CBC, John Quirk was a diminutive rover who earned a brief opportunity with the Demons during the 1966 season. Standing just 175cm, he made his debut in Round 8 against Footscray and managed to hit the scoreboard with two goals across a three-week block of senior football. Despite showing glimpses of potential as a rotating small forward, Quirk was unable to cement a permanent spot in the lineup and departed the VFL at the conclusion of the year. He subsequently continued his career in the VFA, enjoying stints with both Port Melbourne and Box Hill.
