Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle as the son of WAFL stalwart Jack "Corp" Reilly, John Reilly arrived at Carlton in 1962 as a promising tall utility. Standing 191cm, he eventually settled into a role as a reliable full-back, using his height and reach to quell opposition forwards during his time at Princes Park. After four seasons with the Blues, Reilly crossed to the Western Bulldogs in 1966, where he became a consistent defensive mainstay for another four years. He eventually returned home to Western Australia to conclude his career, cementing a family legacy by playing alongside his brother Graeme in South Fremantle's 1970 premiership victory.
