Bio
Recruited from Kennington in the Bendigo Football League, John Tresize was a mid-sized utility who arrived at Princes Park via Carlton's productive country zone. Standing 180cm, he primarily operated as a wingman or flanker, where he was noted for his tidy disposal and ability to find space through the centre of the ground. He broke into the senior side in 1977 and managed a respectable run of games, but found regular opportunities scarce in a Blues squad that was rapidly building towards its 1979 premiership success. After 14 appearances and a single goal across two seasons, Tresize departed the VFL, a solid contributor who was ultimately squeezed out of a star-studded midfield rotation.
