Bio
Recruited from the Sherwood Collegians, Johnny Watts was a rotational forward who drifted between the VFL and VFA during St Kilda's lean early years. Unable to secure a permanent place in the senior side during his initial stint at the Junction Oval in 1905 and 1906, he crossed to Prahran in the Association, where he proved to be a far more potent scorer. Watts booted 37 goals in 40 games for the Two Blues, displaying a goal sense that eventually earned him a recall to the Saints in 1910. However, his second crack at the top level was brief, and he finished his career as a fringe player who found the gap between the competitions difficult to bridge.
