Bio
Recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick 11 in the 2009 National Draft, Jordan Gysberts arrived at Melbourne as a highly touted midfield prospect. He demonstrated significant potential early in his tenure, utilizing his clean hands and accumulation skills to earn a Rising Star nomination in 2011 following a standout performance against Essendon. Despite this promising start, Gysberts fell out of favour during the club's turbulent transition under coach Mark Neeld, often struggling to meet the defensive and fitness demands placed on the playing group. He was subsequently traded to North Melbourne ahead of the 2013 season in a swap for Cameron Pedersen, hoping to revitalise his career in a new environment. However, the move failed to yield senior opportunities, and after spending the entire season in the VFL, he was delisted without playing a game for the Kangaroos.
