Bio
Selected with pick 10 in the 2000 National Draft from Glenelg, Jordan McMahon established himself as a dashing half-back flanker for the Western Bulldogs. Known for his pace and willingness to break lines, he became a key component of the Bulldogs' transition game during the mid-2000s, utilising his speed to turn defence into attack. He was a regular fixture in the senior side under Rodney Eade, playing 114 games for the club, but was eventually traded to Richmond at the end of the 2007 season in exchange for pick 19, a selection the Bulldogs famously used to recruit Callan Ward.
At Punt Road, McMahon continued to serve as a running defender, though his three-year stint at the Tigers is best remembered for a singular moment during the 2009 season. In a Round 18 clash against Melbourne, McMahon marked the ball just seconds before the final siren and converted the goal to secure a victory, a play that holds a unique place in football folklore due to the implications it had on Melbourne's draft priority picks. Despite this highlight, he struggled to cement a permanent spot as the Tigers underwent a significant list regeneration under Damien Hardwick, and he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2010 season.
