Bio
Recruited from West Perth with pick 37 in the 2016 National Draft, Josh Rotham was a local defensive talent who offered West Coast a blend of height and athleticism. Primarily operating as an intercepting defender, he possessed the running power to peel off his opponent and impact contests, while his versatility eventually saw him utilised as a pinch-hitting ruckman during the Eagles' injury-hit campaigns. Despite these attributes, Rotham found it difficult to cement a permanent role in a backline anchored by Jeremy McGovern and Tom Barrass, often finding himself on the fringe of selection throughout his tenure. After eight seasons at the club, during which he served as a reliable depth option through a challenging rebuilding period, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
