Bio
Recruited from East Fremantle with the 17th pick in the 2012 National Draft, Josh Simpson was a highly touted prospect known for his blistering pace and silky skills. Viewed as a creative half-forward capable of breaking lines, he arrived at Fremantle with significant expectations but struggled to adapt to the professional standards required at AFL level. While he broke through for a debut in 2013, his two-year stint at the club was overshadowed by inconsistent application and disciplinary breaches, including a well-publicised failure to board a flight as a travelling emergency. Unable to cement a place in the side, Simpson was delisted at the end of the 2014 season having played just two senior games.
