Stats
Bio
A product of the Gold Coast Suns Academy who was raised in Townsville, Josh Williams was selected by North Melbourne with pick 36 in the 2016 National Draft to inject genuine speed and outside class into the Kangaroos' midfield. The dashing utility relied on his acceleration and natural goal sense to make an impact at senior level, managing a respectable return of 10 goals across his 16 games. Despite his ability to break lines and finish work inside 50, Williams struggled to build the necessary defensive accountability and consistency to cement a permanent spot in Brad Scott’s best 22. He remained on the fringe of selection throughout his two seasons at Arden Street and was delisted at the conclusion of 2018, departing as a raw talent who showed glimpses of offensive flair but couldn't quite bridge the gap to regular senior football.
