Bio
Joshua Kitchen arrived at St Kilda via one of the most significant transaction periods in AFL history, crossing from Hawthorn as part of the complex three-way deal that facilitated Tony Lockett’s move to Sydney. A product of Caulfield Grammar and Balwyn, the 175cm small forward and midfielder had spent time on the Hawks' list without breaking through for a senior game before landing at Moorabbin. Kitchen made his debut in Round 4 of the 1995 season against North Melbourne, retaining his spot for three consecutive matches and slotting his solitary career goal against Fitzroy at the Western Oval. While his on-field career was brief, he holds a unique place in 1990s pop culture folklore as one of the St Kilda players featured in the music video for TISM’s cult hit "Greg! The Stop Sign!!"
