Bio
Recruited as a mature-age prospect from West Perth, Joshua Smith joined North Melbourne with pick 62 in the 2007 National Draft after impressing in the WAFL. A key forward capable of taking a strong contested mark, Smith was brought in to bolster the Kangaroos' tall timber but found it difficult to break into a forward line featuring established names like David Hale, Drew Petrie, and Corey Jones. While he offered a physically imposing target inside 50, he struggled to translate his prolific state league form to the elite level consistently. Unable to cement a regular spot in the senior side, he managed just 11 appearances across three seasons before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2010 season.
