Bio
Recruited from Karingal with pick 49 in the 1991 National Draft, Justin Peckett carved out a distinguished career as one of St Kilda's most durable and versatile servants. A natural utility player, Peckett was equally effective patrolling a half-back flank, running through the midfield, or performing disciplined tagging roles on dangerous opponents. While often operating in the shadow of higher-profile teammates like Robert Harvey and Nathan Burke, his elite aerobic capacity and consistent ball use made him a fixture in the senior side for a decade and a half.
Peckett was a central figure during the club's resurgence in the mid-1990s, playing in the 1996 pre-season premiership and the 1997 Grand Final side. As a senior leader in his later years, he provided a crucial bridge between that era and the emerging list led by Nick Riewoldt and Lenny Hayes. He retired in 2006 having played 252 games, a tally that placed him among the top echelon of games record holders in St Kilda history, cementing his legacy as a loyal one-club player.
