Bio
A product of North Hobart, Jye Menzie took the unconventional route of moving to South Adelaide in the SANFL to boost his draft prospects before being handed a lifeline by Essendon with pick 18 in the 2022 Mid-Season Draft. He quickly established himself as a high-pressure small forward, earning a regular spot in the Bombers' best 22 during the 2023 season where his tackling intent and goal sense were key assets. Despite a career-best four-goal haul against Melbourne in 2025, Menzie struggled to maintain consistency in his final year and was delisted at the season's conclusion. He subsequently returned to his home state as the historic first signing for the Tasmania Devils' VFL outfit, aiming to prove his worth ahead of the club's entry into the AFL.
