Bio
Recruited from Dingley, Kain Taylor was a resilient utility who persisted for nearly a decade at Moorabbin to carve out a career as a defensive specialist. Initially struggling to hold a regular place in the senior side, he eventually found his niche as a disciplined tagger, using his concentration and work ethic to nullify dangerous opponents. His perseverance peaked in the early 1990s when he became a fixture in the Saints' lineup, playing a key role in the club's 1991 finals campaign. While he remained a fringe player for parts of his AFL journey, Taylor later demonstrated his leadership qualities in the VFL, where he captained Springvale to three premierships and won a Norm Goss Medal in a celebrated state league career.
