Bio
Recruited from Peel Thunder with pick 31 in the 2012 National Draft, Kamdyn McIntosh overcame severe foot stress fractures in his first two seasons to establish himself as a structural pillar of the Richmond dynasty. Debuting in 2015, the Pinjarra local quickly endeared himself to the Tiger Army with his relentless aerobic capacity and disciplined two-way running. Predominantly deployed on a wing, McIntosh was rarely the flashiest player on the ground, but his ability to shuttle back to aid the defence and link play through the midfield made him indispensable to the high-pressure game style implemented by Damien Hardwick.
McIntosh's career narrative was defined by resilience as much as success. A key component of the drought-breaking 2017 premiership side, he endured the professional heartbreak of being omitted from the 2019 Grand Final team on the eve of the match. Rather than seeking a trade, he recommitted to the club, reclaiming his position on the wing to secure a second premiership medallion in 2020. He remained a senior regular well into his thirties, departing Punt Road in 2025 as a Life Member and dual premiership player who epitomised the selfless culture of the Tigers' golden era.
