Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 7 in the 2003 National Draft, Kane Tenace arrived at Geelong with the burden of high expectations attached to a top-10 selection. An outside midfielder and half-back blessed with blistering pace, Tenace was utilised as a line-breaker capable of carrying the ball through the corridor and turning defence into attack. While he showed early promise with a Rising Star nomination in 2004, he ultimately struggled to cement a position in the Cats' starting 22 as the club entered its golden premiership era. Often criticized for his disposal efficiency while moving at top speed, Tenace found himself squeezed out of a lineup that boasted extraordinary depth, resulting in his delisting at the conclusion of the 2009 season without tasting premiership success.
