Bio
Keenan Boi is a dynamic general forward who has emerged as a draft bolter following a standout top-age campaign. Qualifying for Hawthorn's Next Generation Academy through his Indigenous and Mauritian heritage, Boi spent time training with the Hawks in the pre-season before putting together a premiership-winning year with the Gippsland Power in the Talent League. He also represented Vic Country at the National Championships, where a complete performance as a high half forward caught the eye of recruiters. The Hawks are expected to match any bid for the prospect, who earned an invitation to the national draft combine.
Scouts praise Boi for his genuine pace, balance at ground level and strong defensive pressure. While he is dangerous around goal, his improved running capacity allows him to push up the ground, provide an option in transition and link play through the middle. Gippsland coaching staff have highlighted his emotional maturity and reliability, noting his ability to stay level-headed and accelerate through traffic. Clean below his knees and strong over the football, Boi possesses the athletic profile required to create scoring opportunities and impact contests.
