Bio
Keith Brooks arrived at Richmond as a mature-age recruit, having established his credentials with a Best and Fairest award at Ormond in the amateurs before a solid stint with Brighton in the VFA. A versatile utility who primarily operated as a ruck-rover or centreman, he broke into the senior lineup midway through the 1941 season. Despite showing promise as a sturdy competitor around the contest, his VFL career was abruptly curtailed by the Second World War. Brooks left the league to serve in the Army after just seven games, becoming one of many players whose footballing prime was sacrificed for military service.
