Bio
Recruited from Williamstown in the VFA, Keith Rae was a talented dual sportsman whose football career was heavily curtailed by both his military service and his commitments to first-class cricket. A rover and forward pocket, he debuted for Carlton in 1939 but managed only sporadic appearances over five seasons before enlisting in the RAAF during World War II. Following the conflict, he crossed to Richmond for a brief two-game stint in 1946, though he is perhaps best remembered in sporting circles as a wicketkeeper for Victoria rather than for his modest tally of VFL games.
