Bio
A local product recruited from Middle Park, Keith Simpson was granted a brief opportunity with South Melbourne during the latter stages of the 1931 season. Standing 173cm, he made his debut in a victory over St Kilda at the Junction Oval and retained his place for a difficult loss to Geelong the following week. Unable to cement a regular position in the senior side, his VFL career remained capped at two games just prior to the club's major aggressive recruiting drive that ushered in the "Foreign Legion" era. Simpson later served in the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War.
