Bio
Recruited from Preston District, Keith Webb was a dedicated rover and half-forward who became a persistent figure at the Fitzroy Football Club throughout the 1950s. After progressing through the Lions' Thirds, he made his senior debut in 1953, initially wearing the number 35 guernsey before adopting the number 12 for the remainder of his career. Webb’s playing tenure was defined by resilience rather than continuity; despite his career spanning eight seasons, his 47-game tally reflected a player who constantly battled to hold his spot in the senior twenty-two during a lean era for the club. A popular clubman known for his loyalty, his contribution to Fitzroy extended well beyond his on-field retirement in 1961. Webb immediately pivoted to serving the club and the VFL in various administrative capacities, a commitment so significant that he was awarded Life Membership in 1963, just two years after hanging up his boots.
