Stats
Bio
Recruited from East Brighton via the St Kilda Thirds, Kelvin Clarke was a lively rover who made an immediate impact by booting three goals on debut against Fitzroy in Round 1, 1968. Unfortunately, significant knee and ankle injuries ruined his maiden campaign, and he struggled to regain a permanent place in the senior lineup upon his return. Despite finding senior opportunities limited, Clarke proved to be a prolific scorer at the lower level, playing in back-to-back reserves premierships and winning the competition's goalkicking award in 1970. He eventually departed the Demons to carve out a successful tenure in the VFA, playing nearly 50 games for Sandringham before crossing to Prahran where he became a premiership player.
