Bio
Recruited from Mortlake in Victoria's Western District, Ken Beardsley was a pacy half-forward who made a promising start to his VFL career with Geelong in the mid-1950s. He quickly established himself in the senior side during his debut season, showing a natural ability to find space and hit the scoreboard. Despite this encouraging beginning, Beardsley struggled to maintain his consistency the following year and found it difficult to secure a permanent spot in the lineup. By June 1956, after a dip in form that saw him fall out of favour with selectors, he was granted a clearance to return to his home club in the country, ending his brief stint at the top level.
