Bio
Recruited from Northcote YCW, Ken Chambers was a physically imposing key position prospect who joined Fitzroy in the mid-1950s. Standing 187cm and weighing over 90kg, he possessed the size to play as a ruckman or key forward but found his pathway to the senior side blocked by established stars, most notably the legendary Alan Gale. Consequently, Chambers was used sparingly as a depth player, managing just four senior appearances and a solitary goal across the 1954 and 1955 seasons. Unable to cement a spot in the starting 22, he departed the VFL and later continued his football career in the VFA with Camberwell.
