Bio
Born in the Western Victorian town of Edenhope, Ken Clarke was a country recruit who arrived at Geelong during a lean era for the club. He broke into the senior side late in the 1903 season, making his debut as a 20-year-old and showing enough promise to retain his spot for the following year. Clarke established himself as a regular contributor in 1904, playing 15 games and drifting forward to boot the majority of his career goals. A utility capable of filling various roles, he played his football while the Pivotonians were languishing in the bottom half of the ladder, often fighting against the powerful Collingwood and Fitzroy sides of the day. His VFL career concluded after the 1905 season, with Clarke eventually settling in South Australia later in life.
