Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Brighton Amateurs, Ken Cockfield joined St Kilda in 1949 as a defensive option during a particularly challenging era for the club. He primarily operated deep in the backline, often tasked with full-back duties, but struggled to secure a regular position in the senior side throughout his five-year tenure. With the Saints frequently languishing near the foot of the ladder, Cockfield remained a fringe player who drifted in and out of the starting eighteen, ultimately tallying 26 games without registering a goal before concluding his VFL career at the end of the 1953 season.
