Bio
Ken Hill was a precocious teenage talent who broke into the North Melbourne senior lineup at the remarkably young age of 17. Recruited to Arden Street during a difficult period for the club, the 175cm utility was blooded by coach Alan Killigrew during the 1967 season as the Kangaroos sought to inject youth into a side destined for the wooden spoon. He made his VFL debut in Round 8 against reigning premiers St Kilda at Moorabbin, a daunting initiation that was followed by a win over South Melbourne two weeks later. Despite gaining such early exposure to top-flight football, Hill’s tenure at the highest level was fleeting, with his career comprising just those two senior appearances before he departed the VFL scene.
