Stats
Bio
A promising rover recruited from Ivanhoe Grammar, Ken Hogan impressed early at Essendon by claiming the Under-19s Best in Finals award and the Reserves' Best and Fairest. He managed 18 senior appearances across 1971 and 1972, serving as a nimble on-baller, but ultimately struggled to cement a long-term position in the senior lineup. Seeking greater opportunities, Hogan left the VFL to become a successful interstate journeyman, first moving to Sandy Bay in Tasmania where his form warranted state selection in 1973. He later played for East Perth in the WAFL and Brunswick in the VFA before returning to his amateur roots to coach Old Ivanhoe Grammarians. His contribution to the game was cut short when he passed away in 1992 at the age of 40.
