Bio
Recruited from Heidelberg in the Diamond Valley Football League, Ken Jones was a consistent and reliable defender for Fitzroy during the late 1950s. He quickly adapted to the pace of VFL football, establishing himself as a key pillar in the Lions' backline and playing every match during the 1958 and 1960 seasons. His tenure at the club included a notable appearance in the 1958 semi-final, a rare finals campaign for the club in that era. After five seasons at the top level, Jones returned to the Diamond Valley competition where he cemented his status as a premier local footballer, winning the league best and fairest award twice with Montmorency and Diamond Creek in the 1960s.
