Stats
Bio
Arriving at Melbourne with a strong pedigree as the captain of Melbourne Grammar, Ken Levey was a defender and wingman who played his football during the Second World War. He broke into the senior side in 1943 and was a regular contributor for two seasons, utilising his 178cm frame to play a utility role in defence and through the midfield. Despite establishing himself in the lineup, Levey made the decision to retire from VFL football at the end of 1944 to complete his final year of engineering studies. While he was cleared to South Melbourne two years later in an attempted comeback, he did not add to his game tally, effectively ending his league career as a brief but serviceable wartime player who prioritised his professional education over football.
