Bio
Recruited from VFA club Camberwell, Ken Munro was a lightly built player whose entry into the VFL was delayed by significant military service. Before arriving at Glenferrie Oval, Munro served in both the Australian Army and the RAAF during World War II, eventually making his senior debut as a 24-year-old in 1946. Standing 175cm and weighing just 67kg, he was a diminutive figure who provided depth for Hawthorn during the club's challenging post-war reconstruction period. He managed four games in his debut season and added just two more in 1947, unable to cement a permanent place in the senior lineup before departing the league.
