Bio
Hailing from the local western suburbs club Braybrook, Ken Scott arrived at Footscray in the immediate aftermath of the Second World War as a solidly built utility. Standing 182cm and weighing nearly 85kg—a substantial size for the era—he possessed the physical frame to hold his own in contested situations and was quickly blooded into the senior lineup during the 1946 season. While he proved capable of drifting forward to impact the scoreboard, evidenced by his three career goals, Scott found it difficult to lock down a permanent role in a competitive Bulldogs side that was regularly contesting finals. He managed 13 appearances across two years, eventually departing the VFL following the 1947 season as one of many local recruits who provided vital depth during the club's post-war regeneration.
