Bio
Recruited from Glenroy, Ken Snell was a rangy half-forward who broke into the North Melbourne senior side as an 18-year-old in 1960. Standing 185cm but with a slender playing weight, he relied on his athleticism and overhead marking rather than brute strength, often operating as a third tall option in attack or a utility further up the ground. His most productive campaign came in 1961 when he made 18 senior appearances, but he found himself battling on the fringe of selection in subsequent years as the Kangaroos hovered in the middle of the ladder. After managing just three games in his final season, Snell departed Arden Street in 1965, remembered as a serviceable local product who gave his all during a six-year tenure at the club.
