Bio
Recruited from Bundoora after a standout junior career at Parade College, Kerry Foley was a gifted utility whose time at Collingwood was heavily restricted by injury. The son of Preston veteran Pat Foley, he arrived at Victoria Park with significant potential as a tall, athletic option who could operate as a key defender or ruck-rover with class and composure. Despite his obvious talent, Foley struggled to get a clear run at senior football, managing just 11 games across five seasons while becoming a fixture in the reserves, where he was part of the 1976 premiership side. He eventually departed for the VFA, where he realised his potential as a star full-back for Prahran, playing over 100 games, winning a premiership in 1978, and earning induction into the club's Team of the Century.
